GENERAL —

  • I'm a boutique brand & web design studio that focuses on entrepreneurs & small businesses that have an eye for style & a passion for their path. Whether you're an established business or just starting to dream, I'm drawn to those who have a heart for what they do, and are looking for branding that speaks to their people. I serve good-hearted product & service based businesses that are making a difference, for example...naturopaths, content creators, hair salons, coffee shops, wedding vendors, creatives, coaches, yoga studios, and non-profits.

  • My clients are more like friends, it's a seamless partnership. I'm laid-back and reassuring in the process.   • I love working with you wherever you may call home. I have a streamlined process that helps to keep projects on track. I am also very flexible and understanding of time difference when it comes to my availability for scheduled meetings.

  • Sooo here's the thing. I provide a questionnaire workbook to get all the nitty gritty details. For websites I provide a content writing guide, but you should have at least done the groundwork of your business. You must have a solid idea of your ideal client, your process, business mission, products/services and of course, your business name! If you are getting brand photography, I provide a guide on style per your brand development.

    Everything should be ready to go by our agreed upon start date. Failure to do so could result in rescheduling the project to a later date and/or a restart fee.

  • All deposits are nonrefundable as it is my way of securing your spot on my calendar. I book projects several weeks to months ahead of time, and scheduling ensures that I give all of my clients the proper amount of time that a project deserves. As a result, I turn away clients for your reserved time slot. The deposit ensure that clients are serious about moving forward with the project.

My Services —

  • First, fill out my client application, and you’ll hear from me within 2-3 business days. If I feel like I’m the right fit to support you in growing your business, I’ll send along a link to book a complimentary 15-minute consultation. After chatting and you booking, I'll send you a contract and a 50% deposit invoice to reserve your date. You can read more of my process to better understand the whole picture. Please note: My calendar typically books out 3+ months in advance!

  • Through experience, I've found that a brand is so much more than a logo and not enough to fully tell your story or showcase how amazing your business really is. For this reason, I offer different packages to suit multiple needs and budgets, that include not only a logo, but a level of brand strategy, visual direction, and holistic brand design. This allows for more clarity & diversity, and ensures that your investment serves you for years to come!

    The Mini Brand collection is ideal for those seeking just the essentials for their business.

  • If you're looking for something that isn't listed on my website currently - no problem! I'm open to all types of design and consulting, and will happily discuss a custom project with you. Help me see if we would be a good fit by filling out my client application or email me directly, and tell me a little bit about what you have in mind!

  • Sure can! My branding packages serve as a base, and can be built upon. You can add pages to your website to customize and/or print or social media elements to any package. Just know, this may prolong the typical timeline.

    And, my website templates have a few add-on options to better your experience and ease the work-load.

  • Absolutely! I believe custom packages are one of the best ways to fully and effectively meet my clients' needs. Get in touch and we'll work on a custom proposal together! Feel free to email me directly.

  • Timelines vary depending on the scope of work. Quality design work takes time to develop — so I urge my clients to not be in a rush for best results. You can read more about my process to see the big picture.

    All clients are put on a predetermined timeline with a due date for every milestone. Please note: I typically book out 1-3 months in advance.

  • Please do! Once we’ve completed your branding and strategy, you have insider access to my studio for project-based design as your brand grows. As a past client, simply shoot me an email and we will set up a time to chat.

  • My collaborative, holistic process includes a supportive mixture of both written communication and 1:1 calls.

  • Hello! I (Danielle) personally oversee all design and each project that is housed within the studio. I will be your sole point of contact throughout our journey, ensuring every step of the way you are celebrated and understood.

  • I use an online payment system called Freshbooks that allows you to view your invoices and make payments through any major credit card or bank transfer. Easy peasy.

  • Yes, absolutely! I understand that working with a professional designer is a big investment, so I try to make payments as comprehensive as possible for you. I am flexible with payments plans and most of my clients opt for either a 2, 3 or 4 month payment structure. Due to the nature of my booking process, I do require a non-refundable 50% deposit to hold your spot on my calendar. If you need a different payment plan, just ask!

    All invoices are sent via Freshbooks so that payment can be entered easily and securely online. Easy peasy!

  • Yes, outside of my services you may be required to purchase any of the following:

    +Font licenses for commercial use  (I recommend budgeting $20-50 for fonts)

    +Additional revision rounds outside of the project scope at $75ph

    +Package add-ons after signed contract

    +Additional consultations

    +Copywriting and in-depth SEO (happy to refer you to an expert)

    +Trademarking

    +Professional Brand Photography- Website design clients are required to work with a professional photographer and to provide up to date brand photography. (happy to refer you to an expert)

    +Domain address- (website clients only)

    +Squarespace Account/Subscription (website clients only)

  • O I wish I could! But, I collaborate with multiple photographers that take beautiful and professional photos, so please get in touch if your business needs hi-quality photographs to do your new website justice! Beautiful photography is a vital piece to your brand & makes up 80% of your website. So I wouldn’t skimp on this element.

  • If for some reason you are still not happy after two rounds of refinements, we will continue the refinement process at my current hourly rate. We go through an in-depth questionnaire and briefing process in the beginning to make sure we are on the same page, so 99% of the time 2 refinement rounds are plenty, if ever needed!

BRANDING —

  • A-whole-lot more than a logo, trust me. I use a holistic approach to really take a deep dive and consider the whole picture. This deep dive helps create a blueprint for your brand, a foundation that is aligned, increase profits and build a cohesive brand that is trusted. So instead of just a logo, you get an entire look that provokes emotion and grows your reach.

  • Your logo collection is created to be a cohesive package.

    +A brand mark is usually a simplified variation of the logo, used in situations when the main logo is not the best fit. Its paired back style makes it easier to use on things like social media, as a sticker and any other applications your specific industry might require.

    +A secondary logo is another version of the main logo, with a slight difference - usually either horizontal, or centered depending on what the primary is. Just so you have all bases covered!

    +Your branding is never just your logo, it is the total presence that makes up your business (and isn't even entirely visual!). From your logo, website, color palette, right through to your tone of voice, marketing, messaging, photography and how clients feel working with you (client experience).

  • It includes colors, image inspiration and brand 'mood', created from a Pinterest board and based off your questionnaire answers. This is a springboard for your project, but please note all images, fonts, colors, textures etc. in the moodboard will not be part of your final design, we will build upon this 'mood' and direction to make sure your design is unique and authentic to your business.

  • our guide will include your logo variations, color palette, buzzwords, visual inspiration, font selection and hierarchy, logo and file usage as well as using your brand in context. This is useful for you as the owner to utilize your new brand suite, as well as passing on to a future designer/web developer/anyone using your brand. It's a guide, but it's also a cushion to protect your brand.

  • While this answer varies business-to-business, my best advice is to evaluate whether or not your brand is serving you WELL right now. Is it bringing you the clients you've always dreamed of? Is it cohesive across the board? Is it outdated? Does it visibly stun on a first impression? If not, it may be time to consider a fresh look!

    Now, a brand refresh is a bit different. A refresh is for a brand identity that has gone out of style and needs to be more modern and with the times. And in most cases, actually end up needing a full new brand.

  • I typically recommend that if you want to invest in branding, you go "all-in" with my process and start from scratch. I want to make sure that I serve both YOU and your ideal client in the best way possible. Oftentimes when trying to combine past elements with new, you get a pieced together looking brand which doesn’t speak to your audience. If the strategy allows me to include old brand assets (like an illustration or a particular brand color), I’ll take that into consideration!

WEBSITES —

  • Of course! I aim to create sites that are easy to update and manage on your own, but I am always happy to help in the future too! That’s the beauty of Squarespace, it is so user-friendly, even for the non-techy type. Plus, Squarespace has how-to tutorial videos for literally everything! My Brand + Website collection includes 14 days of support post project.

  • So, I'm not a professional copywriter. But, I will provide creative direction and refine the copy you provide so that it’s strategic via your brand. During our project, I provide a content guide — It will walk you through writing the type of content needed. You are responsible for writing it all out. As your designer, I am in charge of the design of your website and the look and feel of the visuals. I will help write headlines, per my creative direction. I will take your content and strategize your content around your brand voice.

  • For every website package, I can setup up to 3 blog posts and 10 products if included in the site design and discussed earlier. If you need more formatted, the work will be quoted on an hourly basis.

SQUARESPACE —

  • Squarespace is a website creation platform. It's DIY friendly and easy to use.

  • True. However, entrepreneurs choose my templates due to their beautiful aesthetic, strategy, custom look and step by step instructions to launch quickly. Professional and unique design without breaking the bank!

  • The great thing about Squarespace is that it's DIY friendly and has tons of helpful tutorials. When you purchase a template you get access to a Squarespace walkthrough, and everything else that you need to know to build the template and become a smarty pants at Squarespace!

  • They sure are, and I've designed with that in mind. Squarespace also makes it easy to view your website on various devices so you can look good on ALL the platforms.

  • Squarespace plans start at $12/month. Unlike other platforms where everything is purchased separately, Squarespace packages your domain, hosting, support, and continued improvements into a single monthly or annual payment. No plug-in's! You can view the current rates here!

squarespace WEBSITE TEMPLATES —

  • Once purchased and within 48 business hours, you’ll receive an email inviting you to your brand new Squarespace site, your design files,

    I will walk you through signing up for Squarespace with my discount saving you 10% (code PARTNER10). Once you click accept, all you need to do is replace the demo content, add your branding, and launch with pure confidence! You will also have access to the Launch Suite which contains everything you need to know and more!

    The process is super simple and literally can be purchased, edited, and launched within a week! Just follow my step-by-step instructions, easy peasy!

  • This all depends on the schedule, but YES!  Take a peek at my Setup Package, and if this is something you need, add it to your cart and purchase with your template.

    If the whole package isn’t your vibe and you just need a walkthrough on something or me to do a particular part of the setup for you, that you are stuck on (or don’t have the time), I also offer my time at $50/30 minutes.

  • Highly encouraged! You can use the colors already in the template or your own custom brand colors by adding your hex codes to the palette (up to 5). Add your brand fonts via a little css coding that I provide in the Launch Suite (simple copy and paste).

    I encourage you to infuse your brand personality into the template and create something totally unique to you. It's quite easy to update the overall look to match your brand and attract your ideal client. I'm talking logos, fonts, colors, layout, images, and a whole-lot-more! I encourage you to use the template for guidance.

  • That's absolutely OK. The content and photos in each template is simply for demo purposes only. All templates feature the website pages and design options that every industry could need like an about page, blog, services page, contact page, etc. The filler content is just for fun! So, for example, if you’re a social media manager who fell in love with the Sofia template, go right ahead! 

  • I’ve made it my mission to make beautiful web design accessible for everyone. I don't use industry/techie lingo either. My templates come with a Launch Suite full of handy tutorial videos to help you get a better grasp of your website so you’ll be able to make further changes. Trust me, you’re going to walk away with some new skills.

    I provide a launch checklist with each template, ensuring you've ticked all the boxes before launching (trust me, I’ve thought of everything for you). My Launch Suite is filled with useful resources to help you step by step through the process.

    However, if you’re still hesitant, I offer a Template Setup Package to lend an extra hand. I also offer 30 days of free email support for quick questions and also have an hourly rate if you need more assistance after. Squarespace also provides incredible support through their live chat and emails. You won’t be alone in this!

  • My templates are designed for use on Squarespace only, a fully managed platform with a ton of benefits. High-quality and user-friendly.

  • I can't stop raving about Squarespace and I believe (with all my heart) it's the best platform for most modern small to medium businesses or even for those not-so-tech savvy. It is both beautiful and functional and has the flexibility, mobile responsiveness and easy editing needed for those at any level of editing.

  • You got it! You would need to have the Business plan on Squarespace to incorporate a shop, however Squarespace makes it easy to integrate most of your website needs, and every plan has a blog function built-in. Although, some of my templates include a shop already!

  • My templates are installed on a new Squarespace website, so I suggest moving over your content into the template. This also helps as you can keep your current website as is until your new one is ready to go. If you have a lot of content to move over including blog posts or are using a different platform (such as Wordpress or Wix), please email me for more info and additional costs to make that transition easy for you.

  • You will need to purchase a Squarespace account subscription and a Domain name/url in addition to your one off template purchase. You can also score a free domain through Squarespace with your yearly subscription.   • Realistically, updating the template to make it your own should take only a few hours, so it’s best to carve out a good chunk of time. I recommend scheduling time to sit down and really focus on it, and following the instructions in the order they are presented, so you can get it launched asap! But don’t worry if you’re not in a rush, once purchased, you have unlimited access to the Launch Suite.

  • Most of my website templates come with Canva graphic templates included. If the design requires a png format (transparent background), you will need to upgrade to 'Canva Pro' (the paid version of Canva), however, there is a 30 day free trial available. There are video tutorials in the Launch Suite on how to edit your graphics.

  • Even better! I'll transfer the new website to you, and you can sign up with Squarespace (using my link here that saves you 10% using my code PARTNER10) to access the website. When you're finished customizing, you can follow the instructions to add a domain and subscription to the new website.

  • You will never be required to use any code to build your site. All of the templates use DIY friendly features and you won't need to code anything! Although, there may be the odd time where I think the template looks better with a small snippet of code, in that case, you won't need to do anything. You are also welcome to add any coded features of your own (like your brand fonts, etc.)!

  • Of course! All templates include 30 days of free email support. I also offer hourly paid support if you need assistance with something extra. Squarespace has great live chat and email support too. Please view my Template Policies for more info.

  • Due to the digital nature of the products, they are all non-refundable, so please make sure you have read all of the product details and the Template Policies before you purchase.
